Learning outcome
Knowledge objectives:
Students will acquire knowledge about conducting analyzes of man-made environmental challenges, with a focus on life cycle analyses (LCA).
Students shall have the knowledge of how environmental analyses are used by companies and authorities.
Skill objectives:
Students will acquire skills in calculating environmental and resource impacts related to processes and products. The candidates must be able to analyze and interpret results from their own analyses.Students will receive a basic introduction to the method for life cycle assessment and environmental declaration of products and services.
- Lectures/workshop, one obligatoric exercise and one obligatoric term paper
- The students' learning is supported by the teachers\' supervision during office hours.
- One of these courses: FORN220, TBA210, TIP200, THT291, THT261 or THT271.
- Basic knowlegde in environmental and resource sciences.
- Exercise report counts 20 %, project report counts 50 % and multiple choice exam counts 30 %. All of the evaluated elements in the course must be passed to pass the course.
- The external and internal examiner jointly prepare the exam questions and the correction manual. The external examiner reviews the internal examiner's examination results by correcting a random sample of candidates exams as a calibration according to the Department's guidelines for examination markings.
- None except the grading deliveries.
- Two hours of lectures every second week and four hours of lectures/seminar every second week
- The students are ranked according to the number of credits taken.
